The first thing that you should do is inspect the female connection on your backflow preventer when it leaks to look for worn parts. Inspect the connection for a worn seal or damaged rubber and replace it so that the backflow prevent doesn’t leak.

After inspect the components, you can replace the old and damaged o-rings, seats, springs, poppets and relief valve diaphragm to prevent the backflow preventer leaking. To solve the backflow preventer leakages by yourself.
